This page covers both Spouse and Social memberships. A spouse membership is required if the spouse intends on flying. A Social membership has no requirements, just the membership fee.
The membership fee is $10/year for either Spouse or Social membership.
Requirements for Spouse membership (flying):
- AMA Membership https://www.modelaircraft.org/joinrenew.aspx
- Completed Membership application (click here)
- Attendance at orientation and safety briefing
- Sign off on the Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
- Flight training (no cost) if required
- Demonstration of flight proficiency

Planes that you own and fly must be marked with your AMA number and with your FAA registration number.
